Dr. Gabriele Luigi Gasparini was born in Milan on 13 July 1974.
In July 1999, he graduated in Medicine and Surgery with full marks ( 110/110 ), at the University of Milan.
Since June 2000 he enrolled at Professional Register of the Provincial Order of Physicians and Dentists in Milan.
In October 2004, he graduated in Cardiology with full marks ( 50/50 cum laude) at the University of Verona.
Since November 2004, he has been working as an Interventional Cardiologist at the Humanitas Research Hospital.
The work done by Dr. Gasparini in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory is to investigate ischemic heart disease in its various forms and the interventional treatment of coronary angioplasty with stent implantation. He is a member of the team of Interventional Cardiologists specialized in primary angioplasty in the setting of acute myocardial infarction.
Dr. Gasparini is specialized in treatment of complex coronary disease, such as chronic total occlusions and saphenous vein graft disease and in management of complications.
Dr. Gasparini has significant experience at national and international level in the percutaneous treatment of chronic total coronary occlusions by both antegrade that retrograde approach.
Since 2008 he has performed as first operator more than 1000 CTO PCI procedures.
Inside the Humanitas Research Hospital Dr. Gasparini is also engaged in Clinical Cardiology at the Department of Invasive Cardiology, First Aid and the ‘Coronary Intensive Care Unit.
Dr. Gasparini is the author and co-author of numerous scientific papers plubished in national and international journals. He is a full member of the EuroCTO Club and Course Director of the following meetings and courses:

He is often involved in several Live Cases during CTO meetings. He has written the ABCTO Handbook, focused on percutaneous treatment of chronic total occlusions, now in its 2nd edition. He is a contributor author of Manual of CTO Interventions, written by E. Brilakis. He is also lecturing and proctoring at several institutions in Italy.
